Gjøvik University College offers the Master programme Color in Informatics and Media Technology (CIMET) together with the University of Saint-Etienne, the University of Granada and the University of Joensuu. The Erasmus Mundus programme is a co-operation and mobility programme at high-quality master or doctorate level. Universities and university colleges unite in a consortium to offer a joint degree. This master programme is broadly interdisciplinary, encompassing photonics, computer vision and imaging science and computer science, together with eligble in-depth studies such as GUC's speciality, Media Technology.
The programme requests high mobility, the students will attend one semester at Gjøvik and leave for one of the other universities after christmas. -It is a great privilege to get admission to this master degree. I am going for Saint-Etienne after Gjøvik, says Victoria from Arkhangelsk in Russia.
The six students are from Pakistan, Russia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Kosovo and Iran. They are clear that they have got a unique opportunity by attending the CIMET-master. The education will open up for job prospects in their home country. The students are from big cities around the world, but the change to a small city like Gjøvik is not problematic. -Gjøvik has a extraordinary location and nature. It is quiet and perfect for studying.
