CIMET Website and Application Deadline

We are happy to launch the newly redesigned website of the CIMET master (Color in Informatics and Media Technology), designed and implemented by staff and students of Gjøvik University College, see http://www.master-erasmusmundus-color.eu/.

We also remind prospective European students about the application deadline of April 14, 2008. With already a first group of non-European students selected after a very competitive selection process, we now seek qualified European students, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, physics, optics, imaging science, or a related field.

The study programme which starts autumn 2008 is offered by Gjøvik University College and three other European universities (The University of Saint-Etienne, France; the University of Granada, Spain; the University of Joensuu, Finland) as a part of the prestigeous European Erasmus Mundus programme, see http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/mundus/index_en.html. The programme is broadly interdisciplinary, encompassing photonics, computer vision and imaging science, computer science and media technology as a mix of relevant theoretical and practical knowledge. All courses will be given in English. The programme requests high mobility, but it is possible to mainly study in one host university and attend only one semester in another university.
