The workshop is organized by the Norwegian Color Research Laboratory and takes place at HiG (Høgskolen i Gjøvik – Gjøvik University College), in room G301,on Wednesday, April 30th, 10.00-13.00. It will have two invited speaker and three short presentations.
The workshop is free, but participants are asked to register before April 25th, by email to natasja.bours@hig.no.
Motivation
Eye movement is a fundamental mechanism in visual perception. The whole image, as we are used to consider it in digital imaging, never actually exist in our retina. It is built by the brain, using eye movements to scan and sample the scene.
Changing from a passive imaging to an active one is a strong leap, but very important in order to put the visual perception into the imaging field. Some related topics are e.g. image quality, contrast metrics, color appearance, image enhancement, etc.
The motivation for this workshop is to contribute to bridging this gap and stimulate the multidisciplinary research research on this argument
